My Story

Acupuncturist in WA
Dr. Ellie Heintze promoting Starting Point Acupuncture and Wellness in the Seattle area.

Dr. Heintze discovered natural medicine while she was in graduate school. During this time she experienced severe digestive issues that were inadvertently controlling her life. She saw several gastroenterologists, and was left with no answers or relief from her pain. In a last “ditch-effort” to find help, she went to a Naturopath who was also an acupuncturist. This doctor changed her life. He not only took time to listen to her case but made her feel like a real person. Through his care, she discovered the root cause of her digestive issue were allergies to gluten, dairy, and eggs.

This experience opened her eyes to what primary care medicine was supposed to be, and healed her in ways that restored her to health. As much as Dr. Heintze loved the work she was doing in the chemistry lab, she realized her passion was to help people regain their lives back, as she did from her care by natural medicine and acupuncture.
